Massage is useful in aiding the detoxification process, but we would avoid the abdomen if it is painful and perhaps adapt the massage to seated massage if lying on the front is uncomfortable.
Essential oils that have Detoxifying properties such as Lemon, Juniper, Cypress, Fennel & Grapefruit are useful in helping the body expel toxins and Lavender & Rosemary oils are both beneficial in helping to reduce the pain and inflammation.
Reflexology also helps with the process of detoxification and we would focus on the organs of elimination such as the Liver, Pancreas, stomach and Intestines.
